"Winning the District Championship is special and I love that our team did it collectively as a team. It was reflected in the way we played, how we shared the ball, the way we expressed joy for each other, and now this group is a part of making history for our school."
The next step for the Lady Vikings will be the Area Round of the State Tournament. The team will host San Antonio St. Mary's Hall, at 5:00PM, in the VAC.
"We would love to have our Village Vikings community pack the bleachers Friday night, but this is not just a big week for us. Our boys basketball team is playing for a District Championship on Tuesday night. Soccer is playing for a Regional Championship on Thursday night. I hope that our community will get out and support our teams on these playoff runs, because it is truly a special time to be a part of the VIllage Vikings community," said Coach Brotherton.
