Varsity Girls Soccer Honor 3 Seniors on Senior Night
Lady Viking Soccer honored our three seniors: Nicole Constantin (GK), Jude Amaghlouth (D) & Ritika Saligram (team manager) on senior night. These three ladies have had a tremendous impact on our program over that past few years. Ritika has done everything from setting up warm-ups, assist in practices, take stats, film games and sing the "Star Spangled Banner" before every home game. Jude is a two-year started and has played almost every minute of every game as an outside back for the last two years. Nicole has set a single game save record Against St. Agnus with 23 saves and has also set a school record with over 300 saves and counting! These three ladies have a bright future in and will find success personally and professionally!
Helena Griffith scored the lone girl in a 3-1 loss against Incarnate Word. We have scored goals in consecutive games and the girls are beginning to move the ball forward.
For about three quarters of the game, the lady Vikings played with seven freshmen ad competed for all 80 minutes. We are learning to play and compete at a high level with a very young team. Our upper class has done a great job in assisting our first year players to play at full speed every minute and we keep our intensity levels high, regardless the score. The ladies soccer squad has three games next week, a game against Awty on the 22nd and then district tournament.
