Varsity Girls Soccer Playing Solid and Continuing to Improve
January 7, 2019
Our girls soccer program settled for a 1-1 tie against Westbury Christian just before winter break. Sage Handin flip throw-in placed the ball in a great position for Shanaya Vakil to finish just four minutes into the game. Westbury knotted the game at one with just under two minutes remaining in the first half. "It was a great all around team effort." –Coach Mouro. The team played well defensively and was lead by goalkeeper Nicole Constantin with 10 saves. "We were short handed and only had 13 players for our match. We made a small adjustment in our back five and the girls held their own!" Sage Handin, Beatriz Bechara, Cassandra Havlinek, Jude Almaghouth and Leyla Massoud did a great job holding the back line.
