Vikings Elite Spirit Team Compete at State for First Time in School History
January 24, 2019
On January 12, 2019 the Vikings Elite Spirit Team competed in the TAPPS State Championships for the 1st time in school history. They competed against teams from all over the state and came out in 6th place for the small varsity division. The had scores of 96/100 and 93/100 on both routines. Kim Chemeryk made 1st team all-state, Claire Tanifuji made 2nd team, and Salome Boivin was honorable mention all-state. These girls worked so hard despite all the many obstacles and odds that were against them. We only hope to improve and do even better in the future. We are now gearing up for the next regional competition in March, and our spring show in April. Hope to see you all there!
